Bilberry Centre News

You may have seen a ‘demolition’ notice posted on the site of the Bilberry Centre building on Rose Hill. We have been assured by Birmingham City Council, who own the building, that the notice relates only to the 1970s extension and not the whole building. The extension has been damaged by fire and demolition of this part of the building is the most pragmatic option.

Birmingham City Council have informed us that they continue to look for the most appropriate route to enabling a new user / owner for the site to come forward. However we have heard nothing from them regarding the 12 week consultation exercise which concluded in April last year.

The Parish Council has arranged a meeting with representatives of Birmingham City Council in September, where we hope to include representatives from The Lickey Hills Society and other interested parties. We’ll keep you updated on progress.
